At The Backyard Birding Store,
we aim to create an environment where people feel part of a community, follow their passion for nature, interact with like-minded people, and can find a product selection that includes high quality seed, durable products, gifts and accessories that are perfectly suited to the backyard birding hobbyist.
We are a local family,
offering personal service, knowledge and guidance, with the intent to make the backyard birding hobby more enjoyable for our customers.
Having shared their passion with their children (now adults), family and friends, Andrew & Joanne recognized that they can help others experience the joy of birding in their own backyards, too! So, once their kids were grown, they decided to make backyard bird feeding their full-time career.
And with that, The Backyard Birding Store was born.

A corporate professional and former teacher (with a very green thumb),
Andrew & Joanne developed a deep passion for backyard birding over the years. What started with a feeder, a home-made birdhouse, and a pair of binoculars, has turned into a hobby that has brought years of enjoyment and a greater appreciation for nature, centered on backyard birds.
